When my husband Mike and I arrived at our "Home" in Peas Brook, Nova Scotia in April 2003, it was the end of a long physical and emotional journey. As a retired officer of the US Navy, Mike had long dreamt of retiring to a home overlooking the ocean, and when I'd left Vancouver a few years previously, it was to pursue my dream of a home with studio on a cliff above the raging surf somewhere. The Gods had definitely smiled upon us: they'd introduced us to each other and granted both our dreams.

inside studioShortly after our arrival here on the cliffs, construction of my studio began. It wasn't long before there were bright white walls and a blue floor, wonderful recessed lighting and lovely worktables and shelving. Then the kiln was installed and the wheels plugged in. It was time to unpack my tools, turn on a favourite CD, wedge a piece of clay and sit down at my new wheel...
Crow Cliffs Pottery was born.
